๐ข Overview: Atomic Semi, founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller, is building a fast, small semiconductor fab with a hands-on team tackling challenges from atoms to architecture. The company is hiring Full Stack Software Engineering Interns for Winter 2026 in San Francisco. Interns gain substantial autonomy and contribute to mission-critical projects integrating hardware, software, and real-time systems.
๐ Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)
๐ฐ Compensation: Annualized range $110K โ $132K (hourly equivalent) + Housing Stipend
โ Requirements:
- Proficiency in programming languages (ideally Rust and Python)
- Experience with Linux backend development
- REST APIs + JavaScript/React or HTML templating
- Visualization tools (Matplotlib, Three.js, Plotly, etc.)
- Curiosity and problem-solving mindset
โจ Internship Focus:
- Developing intuitive UIs to interact with hardware and surface critical data
- Building backend pipelines for high-frequency process data
- Creating simulations and interactive visualizations
- Integrating embedded systems with cloud/server components
- Implementing state machines, profiling, and optimizations
