✅ About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Safety Engineer I to support system and software safety programs in alignment with MIL-STD-882E standards. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ, where you will collaborate across engineering disciplines and with government authorities to ensure safety across the lifecycle of defense systems.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
Perform analyses across management, evaluation, and verification task series (100–400)
Collaborate with Program Management and government authorities throughout system lifecycle
Present safety considerations during technical reviews
Interpret system requirements, specifications, and military standards
Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and customer use
Coordinate with Systems, Software/Firmware, Electrical, and Hardware Engineering teams
Manage System Safety Working Group(s) with Raytheon and Customer representatives

📌 Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/related field) or equivalent experience
0–1 year of relevant experience
Experience with MIL-STD-882E safety programs and analyses
U.S. Citizenship + ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
